This view of the Firth of Forth, from the North Queensferry harbour arm encompasses many forms of transport.
In its own right the harbour arm provides for transportation of the cargo and people between shore and vessel.
Then the river itself, the ships and boats which plow its length carrying cargo and people from around the world.
Once on shore then wheeled transport takes its turn, the rail and road bridges crossing the river from North to South provide the means of transport.
In the sky the condensation trail marks the path of aircraft from Edinburgh Turnhouse airport which lies just to the South East of the far shore.
Even the Sun gets into the transportation act, with its energy being transported by photons across the millions of miles that separate the Sun and Earth, to provide the means of making this panoramic image of sunset along the river.
Then finally the lady on the steps provides me with transportation (I don't drive!) so all in all every element of this picture has a story to tell in terms of transportation.
