Regarding equipment used for astronomy and photography, a rule adhered to by many is “bigger is better”. Not so when considering what the latest smart telescopes have to offer. The white Vaonis Vespera Pro (11 pounds) and the black Dwarf Labs Mini (1.85 pounds and cargo pants pocketable!) shown in this panorama both offer shocking exceptions to this rule. Even with a Bortle scale of 8.2 at my location, the light pollution and dual-band filters used by both telescopes (built in on the Mini) produce deep sky images of amazing quality.
