Although the places may have been forgotten—or perhaps not ever known—the individuals who gave their lives in wars are remembered in communities throughout the US and the world. They not only remind us that our neighbors were among those who fell but that wars continue despite the shared sentiment of one person who left a message for others to see "pray for peace".
