The Bullet Train Museum in Kokubunji is in a section of the city so removed as to be forgotten; it would best be a part of Kunitachi City. The area around the museum is forgettable, as sections of newer "bed town" cities outside Tokyo often are. The train on display is the Hikari, which set a world speed record of 286 kph in 1972 (or, 47th Year of the Showa Emperor) on a test track; however, Hikari-san seems to have forgotten its own tracks, although it has remembered to stay near the National Rail Research Center.

On the day of shooting, I had forgotten my little GPS unit, so this location has been, as it were, memorably forgotten.

This panorama is partially for Pam I Am, who likes green eggs and ham on a train, even one traveling at 286 kph in the rain.
