Henderson Waves

Singapore,city-state and country, has only limited space (around 700 sq km), natural elevation is limited as well, with Bukit Timah Hill (164m) as the highest "mountain". There is plenty of artificial elevation, like the skyscrapers in CBD (UOB Plaza with 280m, obviously not accessible) and some tourist attractions like the Singapore flyer with 165m. I tried to find an elevation between natural and artificial and found the Henderson Waves, a bridge along the so-called Southern Ridges of Singapore. The pedestrian bridge at a height of 36m connects since a couple of months the 9km stretch of greenery that invites with its trails for walking and enjoying nature right in the city. I ended up there on a rather rainy day, so the beauty of the outstanding architectural work is not covered in the VR. Feel invited to discover it by yourself whenever you come to Singapore. Dont miss the night-look, the bridge is illuminated by low-power consuming LED light.

Some people have the misconception, Singapore is another concrete city with little greenery (like other capitals in the surrounding countries), but this place has lots of green lungs and they spend a lot of money on this. Thanks.
