Caption
The Natural Bridge, located in southwestern Virginia, was formed by wind and water erosion over the course of 100 million years. It stands 215 feet tall and 90 feet wide. Thomas Jefferson purchased the property to preserve it, and George Washington's initials can be seen carved into the side when he was working as a surveyor, prior to his Presidency. (Unfortunately, the initials aren't in this image, but are around the corner slightly).
Equipment
Canon 10D with a Sigma 14mm lens and my custom pin registered pano head. Three rows of eight pictures bracketed four stops apart. Pano scaled down from 12,000 x 6,000 pixel original.
