The Canada 150 Playground

Part of Canada's 150th anniversary celebrations was the Canada themed children's playground located at Mooney's Bay on the Rideau River in Ottawa.

The park includes a lighthouse slide, orca shaped monkey bars, a ship that rocks back and forth as children move, a log cabin, a canoe-shaped teeter totter as well as a multitude of play structures, each symbolizing something kids can identify with as part of Canada. There are swings for younger and older children. Many of the structures are wheelchair accessible including a set of swings. The ground mulch was designed to accomodate wheel chairs. strollers etc. as well as quickly drain water.
