Butler's Dining Rooms was a Sheffield institution for decades, famously Picasso dined here during the second World Peace Congress. Later it was a Balti restaurant, and since then was just another boarded up shop with students renting rooms upstairs.

On Saturday it collapsed, amazingly nobody living above was harmed. Here you can see the clear up operation.

The connection with the theme scale is that the word scale appears in this caption

If you turn around, the derelict red-brick and stone gothic building behind is the old Jessop's Maternity Hospital, due to be demolished to make way for something every bit as bleak and lifeless as the 'Bioincubator' next door.
