Theme

I had not yet decided what to shoot for this event. Because of the good weather I was taking my equipment on a trip to the city centre. I had the Viktualienmarkt in mind, where lots of food is sold almost every day. I took a panorama, however I was not satisfied and went on towards Marienplatz. There I took this panorama. Walking towards the subway I noticed an event on Marienplatz called "Meatout Day." I noticed immediately that this would be a very good interpretation of the Food theme. So this panorama shows the Munich activities on the Marienplatz during the 25th Meatout Day.

Making Of

The shooting was done with a monopod which allows for easy and fast rotation. The lens was mounted with a custom-made bracket which allows me to mount the lens to turn around the no-parallax point of the lens. I took three exposures at every direction and then used exposure fusion to combine the different shots. However in the end I've chosen the medium exposure and just used the fused part for the sky.
