These grain elevators next to the railroad tracks are in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It doesn't look like the entire facility has been used for some time as some of the tracks are covered by dirt.

The location is very close to Minnehaha Falls, a local waterfall and landmark. With literal compliance to the theme, timing and luck provided an atmosphere containing thick and visible fog that surrounded the area and the entire city.

In addition to the fog, the geographic atmosphere was desolate and quiet. Even though there is a neighborhood just across the road, and traffic moving at the edge of the fog, it felt like I was the only person in the area.

Minneapolis developed as a grain and lumber milling town and there are many grain elevators still standing around the city. Some are still in use today.
