An important part in our modern culture was played by geography, that gave a new vision of the world. In the past the globes were the only possibility to represent our earth in "correct" proportions. Vincenzo Coronelli was famous in the second half of 17th century for his atlases and globes. One of its masterpieces, just restored, is presented in the elegant entrance of Bergamo's public Library "Angelo Mai". A globe within a culture temple.
