Isla Holbox, Mexico. Juan, Mary Carmen and their 2-year-old son, Iker, were our tour hosts while in Mexico.

Posada Mawimbi Hotel, located 2 blocks northeast of the town square, was our quiet beach front accommodations. We looked northwest at the orange and amber sunset.

For about an hour the mosquitoes raged on.. then disappeared into the salt grass. Dinner was fresh-caught bar-b-qued whole fish and cold local beer.

We hired a boat and driver for the trip to Ilsa Pasion and The Bird Santuary island. We also went southeast across the bay to visit the Ojo de Aua Yalahau, a fresh very cold and clear water natural spring.

I think this is my best panorama for 2010 because of the sense of time and place. This is a warm and friendly place. Best of all, we are here.
