Hygge Bakery is a Danish Bakery on Hope St. in Los Angeles.
For me as a Dane living in Los Angeles Hygge is a watering hole which does not compare to any American bakery. In the picture is Master Pastry chef Henrik, who did grow up in his father's bakery in Denmark and was hired from Denmark to make the Hygge Bakery the "real deal." As in if you have ever tried a sad greasy "danish" from the local supermarket in Los Angeles, this is soul-food for Danes abroad, and as far as I am concerned, Baker Henrik is the one delivering it.
Anyone looking to find me, only need to hang out at the Hygge Bakery for a few days and for sure I will by for a "spandauer" and some danish coffee.
