Egypt's only camel market is held every Friday and Sunday. By 6 am, the atmosphere is filled by frenzied bargaining for camels that have come from all over the Middle East: Morrocco, Sudan and the United Arab Emirates.

'The Ship of the Desert' can be bought for EGP 700/U$ 120 for a new-born camel from Sudan and EGP 7,000/U$ 1,200 for a young one from Morrocco.

This VR photo was taken by 12 noon. You can see Mr. Waguih, the camel trader taking a nap in the shade. He had a good day as he had sold more than half of his stock.
