On the evening of a rather hot day, the few clouds after sunset make the roses glow in fiery colours.
The day before I took this panorama, my mother-in-law had passed away at the age of nearly 89. Her death was painless and gave her and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—who were all present—ample opportunity to say goodbye. She was at peace with death and looked forward to being reunited with her beloved husband, who had passed away eleven years earlier. She was a wonderful woman, a very good mother and grandmother, who, together with her husband, always helped out whenever she could, but never interfered in our lives.
Roses were her favourite flowers, especially the pink ones, like those in our garden. This panorama is dedicated to her..
