This panorama shows the Hammering Man
(a sculpture from Jonathan Borofsky
) and the skyscraper Messeturm
I have chosen this subject, as the sculpture itself is a unique piece of work (and art). And I also found a quote from the artist itself in which he states the following:
"The Hammering Man is a symbol for the worker in all of us."
- Jonathan Borofsky
See also some other images of the sculpture:
As the sculpture is 21 meters tall (appx. 69 ft.) I tried to reach a more elevated position above the ground by shooting with a 6 meter (appx. 20 ft) modified painter pole. I also shot a panorama which shows the pole in action
The lens was mounted with a custom-made bracket which enables me to turn around the no-parallax point of the lens.
As the lens is a fisheye lens, four pictures easily cover 360°. I took an additional image for the nadir. The zenith was retouched by hand in Photoshop.
