The Church Sant Moritz in Olomouc.

Feel the Atmosphere of this outstanding church, which has been witness to hundreds of years of history. All that you can find and see in city Olomouc in Moravia (Czech Republic - EU).

The light breeze of mystery and Gothic beauty comes to you from as far back as 750 Years, since the first knowledge of the church was founded. Sant Moritz was estabilished by Bishop Bruno from Schaumburg in the Year 1257. The Engler's Organ, the masterpiece of Wroclaw´s master Michal Engler (1740-1745), is the largest organ in Europe today. There are 135 registers, 5 manuals and 10,400 soundpipes.

In the Church you can find Gothic sculptures of Our Lady (Virgin Mary) and Holy John the Baptist Ecce Homo, which is a painting on wood dated 1523, on the Baroque Oltar of Saint John from Nepomuk dated 1735. There are many other relics and landmarks.

Today, the church is one of the most important examples of late Gothic architecture in Moravia and one with the largest church spaces, i.e. 54,72 m long; 25 m wide and 22 m high. It takes 4,000 people to fill the church. ... so let yourself feel the breeze of history.
