The buildings visible along the road leading under the disused railway bridge are the start of Glasgow City Centre. The location of this panorama is right at the edge of what is considered to be The East End, and further along the road, away from the City Centre, is the main market place, known as The Barras. At the weekend, all year round, this area is always busy with shoppers and traders, in a market that can surely compare with any flea market in the world for its range of cheap goods, nefarious and otherwise. An atmosphere exists here, though, that can only be Glaswegian.
