Located in the southwestern France, between The Dordogne Valley and the Vézère Valley, Sarlat-la-Caneda is the not-to-be-missed destination of the Périgord Noir. The town is known as featuring the highest density of listed historical buildings per square foot in France. Le Badaud (The Onlooker) is a bronze statue by Gérard Auliac overlooking the picturesque market place in the historic medieval centre of Sarlat.
