Has Odabasi Behruz Aga Camii is one of the popular place listed under "Mosque in Istanbul", Turkey. It is a Mimar SinanÂ mosque.Â The residential area aroundÂ is also called the OdabaÅÄ± district. Behruz AÄa Mosque is wooden and has a single minaret.Â The roof is hipped roof.Â

ItÂ wasÂ builtÂ byÂ Behruz AÄa, theÂ chief chamberlain ofÂ Suleiman the Magnificent, in 1562 together with theÂ primary schoolÂ fountain and its bath, which has not survived to the present day.Â TheÂ mosque, which is the work ofÂ Mimar Sinan, burned down in 1782, and was repaired in 1836 by Mahmud II. It took its final shape in 1983 after extensive renovation work.
