It's just before 8:00 PM (GMT-6) and has been dark for a couple of hours already.
The sky is clear, the air is still, the humidity is low, and the barometric pressure is dropping slowly.
The air temperature has dropped to 58 degrees F. A storm is coming.
There's a gorgeous salty smell to the air. It's nearly Christmas in Corpus Christi, South Texas.

The owner of this single family home in Flour Bluff, Corpus Christi shares the Christmas spirit with a show of lights and a special flag flying on the flagpole.
We don't get snow or icicles in this part of the world, so people hang electric icicles on their house's eves.

See the Texas Longhorns Football team lawn decoration?
See the boat in the background?
This is a winter Christmas, South Texas style on the Gulf of Mexico.
