Väike-Õismäe is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024.

Väike-Õismäe is a subdistrict in the district of Haabersti, Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It has a population of  26,272 (As of 1 January 2024), thus housing more than 60% of Haabersti's population.

The layout of the Väike-Õismäe residential area was completed in 1968 by architects Mart Port and Malle Meelaku, and later, in 1975, it was supplemented with the layout of the Järveotsa tee residential group by architects Kalju Lutsu and Inessa Põldma. Since the beginning of construction in 1973, Väike-Õismäe has been planned to accommodate up to 45,000 inhabitants. When planning the residential area, the focus was on uniform compactness, with a round artificial lake in the center, Väike-Õismäe pond, surrounded by kindergartens and schools.
