I began drawing this panorama on a train, coming back home from Rome. Last time I visited my grandparents, before the lockdown due to Covid-19, I went to the garden to check it. The thing that surprised me was that the overall proportions were right, but the garden has changed in several details. The bench where I broke my leg when I was a child is no longer there, the big Cedrus Libani has been pruned. But the roses are still there.
