About 48000 tomatoe plants, intended for export.
From seed to grafted 30cm plants in 8 weeks.
What you see is the half of a batch of 96000

At Jongerius Houten they do this in computer controlled atmospheres.
Temperature, humidity, CO2, extra light, automatic screens to keep the light inside at night, all are here under control.
For each type of vegetable in other halls there is another atmosphere.

5 days after this pano was made these tiny tomatoe plants were exported from Holland to Austria.
Each grown plant will give about 30-40 kilo HQ tasteful tomatoes.
Amazing, isn't it ?

No sound this time, you have no idea how silent growing little plants can be.
