This electric substation is housed at the Roy E. Hansel Generating Station in downtown Kissimmee, Fla. and operated by Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA). The substation increases the voltage of the electricity produced by the nearby power plant and sends it via high-voltage power lines to the residents of Kissimmee. If you rotate the image upwards toward the sky you will see more than a dozen nests built by a large group of Monk Parakeets that live year-round in the substation.
