This area of downtown Toronto is called "The Entertainment District".

To the west is the 27-storey Toronto Metro Hall which was officially opened in November 1992. The Toronto Metro Hall houses administative offices for the new City of Toronto.

The interesting curved building to the east is the Roy Thomson Hall, this new concert hall was built in 1982.

Toward the south is the CN Tower celebrating the 30th anniversary on this day. It was completed in 1976. It draws two million visitors every year from around the world. It is the tallest free standing building in the world at 553 metres.

To the north, hidden by part of the fountain wall, there are The Princess of Wales Theatre, The Toronto Antique Centre, The Royal Alexandra Theatre and the Canadian Walk of Fame.
