The Bridge of Corso del Popolo was built across the Piovego canal in 1908. It is one of the first reinforced-concrete bridges built in Italy. The Piovego canal is formed from two wings of the Bacchiglione river – the left wing, called Tronco Maestro, and the right wing, called Naviglio Interno. Historical buildings merge with daring contemporary architecture, look at Basilica del Carmine and Daniel Libeskind’s memorial “Memory and light”.
