The Intercity-Express, or ICE, from Zürich to Hamburg is passing the railway station of Köndringen, a few kilometres north of Freiburg. The ICE is able to travel at a maximum speed of 300 kilometers per hour and will reach Hamburg – roughly 750 kilometers away – within five and a half hours.
