The "Sekkou-ji" Temple is well known as the old temple where peonies bloom. The peony is originally a flower that blooms in spring, but the peonies of "Sekkou-ji" are made to bloom twice a year, in both spring and winter.

It snowed earlier than in ordinary years because of the cold wave this year. At this season when flowers are few it is still possible to enjoy peonies that bloom "secretly", sheltered by straw hats.
