The foresight of James Henry was to lobby and preserve this old growth forest, one of the most significant in eastern Pennsylvania. Due to poor nutrients and periodic flooding of the Bushkill Creek,the trees here grow very slow. Studies show a 6 inch diameter hemlock was measured at 225 years old. So the trees that measure 30 or 40 inches make you wonder their age. Regardless, the circle of life continues as the forest regenerate life from decaying plants.

Equipment used: Nikon D5100, Nikkor 10.5mm Nikon lens attached to a Nodal Ninja 3 pano head.
