Prior to 1970 Capella Hospitalis was a place of death. The deceased were laid out here and given the last rites. The pathology department was situated in an adjacent building. Today the chapel, designed by the artist Elisabeth Masé (http://www.elisabeth-mase.de ), conveys more than fate, tragedy and sorrow. The orange coating symbolizes the evening and morning sun. A constant cycle of arriving and departing. The colors, slowly changing from yellow to violet-blue on the matt window faces portrays a kind of "breath". Not a finality, but a beginning and end at the same time. I am the fluteplayer. To the changing colours of the light-installation I play, with changing breath, sounds of different colours. The paper-strip installation in the apse was made by the artist Veronica Radulovic(http://www.radulovic.org/ ).
