Taken from one of the balconies on the Aiguille du Midi, looking out over the sea of white which is Mont Blanc. I was struck by the almost monochromatic snow scene, against the deep blue of the sky, with a single finger of almost orange rock protruding skywards (towards the left of the pano). Panning right, you can see a full view of Mont Blanc. In the valley below, you can see some of the tracks through the snow made by the Alpinists crossing the glacier.
