Caption
Designed by Terry Farrel & Partners, The Green Building occupies a triangular site adjacent to the River Medlock where a gasometer used to stand - hence its seven storey cylindrical "drum" design.

It contains 32 residential apartments. The building includes a number of enviromentally-friendly features including photovoltaic or solar panels located on the upper part of the building as well as a wind turbine. The design itself helps to retain heat by maximizing solar gain with large windows on the southern rim and smaller windows to the north. The internal ventilation ocurrs naturally through the building's atrium. The cylindrical building tapers at the top and the facade is enhanced by visually striking coloured render and timber balconies.
Equipment
Nikon 4500 with EC-8 Fish Eye lens on FE-1 mode "P" setting. Home made pano head. Vanguard tripod.
