Louise Nevelson Plaza was one of the first plazas in New York City to honor a woman and the first to honor an artist. It occupies a site—on William Street between Maiden Lane and Liberty Street.

In the years after September 11, 2001 it was a high security area with no photography allowed because of the the nearby entrance to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. A security booth on the plaza continues to monitor the area. The plaza was reopened to the public in December 2010 and I have a new panorama to show Louise Nevelson's sculptures.
