This was a tough theme for me, guess I need to find a muse to help out.

These two Southwestern Ponderosa Pines started from seeds ten years ago. They weren't purposefully planted but have managed to claw their way up to 6' (2 m) on their own. The Ponderosa Pine is a slow growing pine known for its dense grain. The Ponderosa Pine is the tallest of all pine trees measured at 268.29 ft (81.77 m) so these two have a ways to go. More mature examples can be seen in the background.
