Hard to resist when I see it on the menu card, a Rueben sandwich. Grilled Swiss cheese topped over sauerkraut, yum. The corned beef or pastrami is secondary as is the usual thousand island dressing and slice of rye bread. I acquired a taste for Swiss cheese back in college when I had gotten a bad case of the munchies and a weakness for that piquant flavor stayed with me ever since. And the sour taste of pickled cabbage that is sauerkraut makes my mouth water too, also good on hot dogs but I don't allow myself that tasty combo anymore.

On the back wall, is a photo of Al Gore visiting this restaurant when he was running for President of the United States back in 2000.

Too bad there wasn't any Curry Chicken Chow Fun on the menu. Next time.
