After the Meiji Restoration, Japan positively took to the culture of the West.

In 1880, "Seikatei" was built at "Kairakuen" (the first park in Sapporo).

Japanese and Western elements are combined in Seikatei. We call it the "Wa-Yo-setchu" style.

清華亭
明治維新後、日本は積極的に西洋の文化を取り入れた。
清華亭は、札幌最初の都市型公園である偕楽園の接待所として1880年に建てられた。
そのスタイルは日本建築と洋風建築をミックスした"和洋折衷"である。
