For someone who really likes to look at the sky and clouds and atmosphere in general, I really had problems trying to decide what to shoot this time through. It did happen though that a particularly blustery day brought in some wonderful clouds and covered the Berkeley hills. The clouds were fast moving and had a distinct base. It was very pretty to watch from the top of the hill in Point Richmond near our home.

Point Richmond is also the location of a Chevron refinery. They used to have many complaints about the tanks on the hillside. Chevron painted them a reddish earth tone and now they blend much more nicely into the landscape.

It did happen that the plant had a fire a couple of months ago and there were sirens and a warning to shelter in place. It happened very early in the morning and many people didn't actually hear the sirens. We woke up to the news on the radio after the fact.
