The Nikolsky Market (Sadovaya ul., 62), is an ancient trading house. The district on which there was the Nikolsky Market until second half of XVIII century was belonged to the Admiralty Board. It was constructed in 1788-89 (the architect is unknown) near cross-water of Griboedov and Kryukov canals. The Nikolsky Market had assumed the name from Nikolo-Bogoyavlensky Cathedral.
