Caption
The Arminius Markthalle was build in 1890/91 by Hermann Blankenstein. The indoor-marketplace is a primary steel construction blended with clinker and has a wooden roof. The shopping hall joins different kind of selling shanties, mainly food, and is a social meeting point where one can also take drinks and cheap meals. It is a regional slow grown ancestor of the now omnipresent, uniformly shopping malls. The Markthalle is situated in a classical worker-district of Berlin.
