From the Parks Canada site: "Kejimkujik is... a rare refuge for old growth forests and the species that depend upon them; at the core of the second largest biosphere reserve in Canada; the keeper of stories and memories of the Mi’kmaq who have traveled and lived in the area for thousands of years; a rock-girded seashore of world-renowned beauty."

This is Mills Falls on the Mersey River in Kejimkujik National Park where old growth forest is dominated on the banks by ancient hemlock trees, with twisting gnarled roots growing through everything. The dense forest and lush vegetation flourish along the banks of the Mersey.
