The Roman Tower in Haigerloch is a Romanesque building. It once was the keep of the upper castle of Haigerloch, built round about 1000 A.D.. In 1746 the tower was converted into a bell tower for the nearby church of St. Ulrich that was demolished in 1839. It was then when a guard room and a clock were added on top.

From the Roman tower you have a beautiful view over the valley of the little stream Eyach towards Castle Haigerloch with its famous Castle Church.
