The 5.5 km long Nanjing Road is Shanghai's most bustling street and China's number one shopping street, where you can find a large number of traditional department stores as well as famous western brands.

It was first built in 1851 as a country path from Bund to Henan Road. Now it is attracting up to 1 million visitors a day. Most impressive during evening and night time when neon lights and advertising billboards are illuminating the glorious buildings along the road. What a fascinating place !
