The laundry room of an old house is a place no more then one person stays at the time. Especially, when it is at the point of freezing inside. This house is from the 30´s and it was the mothers of the family how worked down here. As fare away from the living room as it could be. A job had to be done and often a lot of it as well. The families had 5-7 kids and the husband was rairly home before late. I can imagine the thoughts these wives had doing the laundry down in this basement room. How hard their life was during the down periods after the war.

I do rent this house today and not much is done with it since then. Well, it is a bit easier for me since I've got the machine installed. Anyway, this is a place where thoughts comes to mind. So near, but still so fare away.
