Richard had been piecing together panoramic views from 35mm prints for over a decade when he first came across QTVR. He was instantly hooked, and tried a few stumbling attempts with scans of his old photos.
It wasn't until he joined in with the second 'Wrinkle in Time' project, though, that he really got to grips with what was involved. Thanks to the inspiration and advice of the many panographers who contributed to the 'Wrinkles', Richard learnt better techniques, and began to explore for himself new ways of interacting with the panoramas.
Now panoramic photography is part of his working life. In 2003, he co-founded Corvidae Ltd, a company that specialises in creating web sites and exhibitions for museums, heritage sites and the corporate market. In 2005 Corvidae was appointed as the National Trust's preferred supplier of virtual tours, and is now working with the Trust to allow people with mobility difficulties to experience places that would otherwise be inaccessible to them.
