About the Photographer
Jim Watters studied photography in New Brunswick, Canada. Several years later he studied computer programming 5000 kilometers west, in Alberta, Canada. After 10 years in Calgary Alberta and 10 years in Ottawa Ontario, he now resides in Saint john New Brunswick. For a living he creates imaging software for scanners and in his spare time, he concentrates on developing computer graphic software, that centers around creating and manipulating panoramas. Such as PanoramaTools.
Jim started creating panoramas back in 1992 by cutting and taping together photographs. It was a natural progression of the photo collages he was creating before that. He may not have known about stitching software at the time, but the images line up perfect because he did know about rotating the camera around the noble point.
