Portrait
Jan van der Woning
Studio Jan van der Woning
Duivendrecht (Amsterdam), Netherlands

I am a professional photographer and specializing in Panoramic and Interactive photography since 1998. Travelled to the Antarctic, United States, Kalimantan in Indonesia and Uganda, Eritrea and Mali in Africa to make panoramas amongst others for Readers Digest, van der Moolen Brokers, WWF, Greenpeace and National Geographic and Dutch papers and most important for the magazine Pplus or People, Planet Profit. In this magazine about sustainability and CSR, (Corporate Social Responsibility) I have a 360 degrees panorama on the first editorial, since the start of the magazine in 2001. I have been on an expedition to Alaska to photograph the consequences of global warming within the polar circle. And in Uganda to show the reforestation of the Kibale Forest, a place where chimpanzees live in the wild. I also sell my work as art. Had some group exhibitions with the IVRPA on the Macworld and Photokina in Germany, and solo exhibitions in the Panorama Mesdag Museum, one of the world's oldest and still existing painted panoramas and on the Modern Art Market on the Rembrandtplein in Amsterdam. Currently director of the IVRPA, International Virtual Reality Photography Association trying to create more awareness for both printed 360 degrees panoramas and interactive VR photography.
