The image shows Lows Lake in the Adirondacks, reachable via portage from Bog River Flow, which we visited on a backcountry canoe-camping trip with two other families.

On our way back to civilization, this particular morning turned out rather quite and calm, with glassy water and fog over the lake (although much of it dissipated by the time of this image).

Hearing the plaintive cry of loons across the water, in a less-traveled wilderness like this, evokes a great sense of peace in my mind.

Equipment
iPhone 5S, canoe, Photoshop, PT Gui Pro.

They say your best camera is the one you have with you, and in this case I had only an iPhone, which was hand-held to make two images about 180 degrees each, and then stitched on one end and manually blended on the other.
