Where would we be without the ability to remember? It's what has gone before us is one of the things that makes us who we are today. Imagine never being able to remember those wise words your parents told you as a child, that precious moment in your life or that mistake you never want to make again.

Sometimes things to remember are big and sometimes small but all equally important to the person who wants to remember them.

I shot my panorama here as these places evoke very strong reasons to remember, they are all over the world, all look the same, all arranged in the same way, all for the same reason. The Commonwealth War Grave Commission do an amazing job in such a quiet and subtle way.

Equipment
Taken with a Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G fisheye lens. Mounted on a Nodal Ninja 5 panorama head and R-D16 rotator atop a Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod. Shots taken at 6 positions 60° apart, tilted 15° down and another shot taken looking straight up. Raw files then processed in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.6 before being stitched together using PTGui Pro 9.1.3 and converted using Pano2VR 3.1.4.
