This is the sunset from "Spoil tip" we call "Zuri yama" in Shimizusawa Yubari. Yubari is the town which prospered as the coal mine once. This coal mine was already closed. Even if many facilities disappeared, but this mountain continues leaving the memory of a coal mine. This corridor is a work of Mr. Shunsuke Watanabe of the Yubari Shimizusawa Art Project.


炭鉱の記憶
夕張清水沢のズリ山頂上からの夕日である。
夕張はかつて炭鉱で栄えた街である。
炭鉱が閉鎖され、炭鉱の記憶を留める景色は消え去りつつある。
多くの施設が消え去っても、このズリ山は炭鉱の記憶を残し続ける。
この回廊は、夕張清水沢アートプロジェクト、渡邊俊介氏の作品。
